BRAZILIAN CROCODILIANS TREATY
This relevant academic work – Treaty of Crocodilians of Brazil – represents a great collaborative action with the significant participation of 69 researchers from different generations, academic and technical backgrounds, bringing together basic and specialized information from different areas of interest.

Through photographs applied to a support widely accepted by society such as a book, it is possible to provoke an increasingly necessary reflection, as the appearance of these alligators in urban areas is becoming more frequent, due to habitat loss.

Published in March 2019, easy to read and dynamic, it lives up to its title, “The Journey for the Conservation of Alligators in the Atlantic Forest”.
Through the book, the reader is introduced to the natural history of the species Caiman latirostris, popularly known as Jacaré-de-Papo-Amarelo, as well as the other species of crocodilians that occur in Brazil.
This work also brings the entire history of the Caiman Project, the work carried out by the Project in the area of scientific research, scientific expeditions to different places in the country, rescues, environmental awareness work and the creation of our Ecological Center, by the way, the first Alligator Research, Conservation and Environmental Education Center in Brazil.
